Denim Handle Bar Bag

Denim Handle Bar Bag

A customer contacted us for something very special for the Rollins Ramble, a race over Rollins Divide in Colorado. We used a well worn pair of Levi’s for the source material. We used the fly of the pants as the zipper on the bag, we put the size patch from the jeans on one of the side panels of the bag and we made sure there was plenty of gold stitching all throughout the bag.

Rule #1 on the race website is, “All riders must wear Jorts.” The race organizer saw this bag on social media and contacted us to make three more trophy bags, one for each of the category winners in the men’s and women’s fields and the winner of the “best jorts category.”

Small Saddle Bag

Small Saddle Bag

This saddle bag is made from the back hatch cover from a Volkswagen Jetta. The faux leather is weather resistant, tough and still great looking. We used a disused toe strap to attach the back to the seat rails, making this a true one-off bag.

Mechanic's Tool Roll

Mechanic's Tool Roll

Inside of a custom roll we did for a local mechanic who also works as a fit specialist. He asked for enough room for all of the tools needed to do a complete build, but he also wanted a removable pouch with a clear pocket for his most essential fitting tools. We were able to make three removable pouches, two with clear windows. There was also a hidden pocket accessible from the outside of the roll made just for a fabric measuring tape. The customer asked for loops on the outside of the bag and used his own Otto Lock to secure everything when the bag was out of sight.

Leadville 100,000 Foot Challenge

Leadville 100,000 Foot Challenge

So many races in 2020 were canceled or made virtual due to the corona virus pandemic. The Leadville 100 was no different, and they offered competitors a chance to still earn a unique belt buckle in a unique kind of competition. Enter the Leadville 100,000 ft Challenge. The rules were simple; ride 100,000 vertical feet between June 13 and August 22, submit your climbing totals as recorded by gps, and your buckle will be sent to you. We were asked to use this buckle with the same tire used to climb nearly 19 vertical miles to create this belt.

Made with direct input from the customer to hold just the tools needed to go back and forth between the bike shop and wrenching at the velodrome for USA Cycling.

Guerilla Gravity Bottom Bracket Frame Bag

Guerilla Gravity Bottom Bracket Frame Bag

Paul designed our logo a long time ago and when it came time for a new Guerilla Gravity Megatrail he came to us for a custom frame bag. He sent us a 1:1 scale template of the size of the bag he was looking for, which had to allow room for access (via a zipper on the top of the bag) and room for the shock to function without crushing the bag. The bag itself is soft-sided with a flexible plastic spine to give it shape. It attaches directly to the GG frame via the standard bottle bosses already on the frame.

Handle Bar Bag

Handle Bar Bag

This bar bag is made from a yellow suede welder’s apron. The apron belonged to a customer who was a former pro racer on the USA Criterium circuit, now turned full time cutler, making custom knives. This bag combines parts of both of those worlds.

Mechanic's Tool Roll

Mechanic's Tool Roll

Another custom tool roll for a local mechanic that spends time wrenching races and events abroad. As we started out assessing his needs, he said that the set up he had been using was too heavy to go on an airplane… not exactly ideal. This bag allows him to carry everything that he needs without allowing him to carry too much. The driver pockets are designed to fold over the edge of a work bench, causing the drivers to be handles-up when the bag is open. Everything is kept in place with flaps and snap fasteners.

Oskar Blues/REEB Frame Bags

Oskar Blues/REEB Frame Bags

These frame bags were really our first foray into using vinyl as a medium for our bags. At the request of The Bike Shop at CyclHOPS in Longmont, CO, we began designing and building bags for REEB’s Donkadonk fat bikes. We made two sizes; one is a half frame bag that leaves the bottle cage on the down tube still accessible and another that fills the entire main triangle of the bike. We’ve never made these available for purchase directly from revelo, instead manufacturing them only for The Bike Shop and made out of REEB and Oskar Blues Brewery banners. That is not a hard and fast rule, though, so if you’re interested in one for yourself and can’t make it to CyclHOPS, drop us a line to start a conversation about a custom piece for yourself.

Something Purple

Something Purple

We met the National Colligate Women’s team in the summer before the Colorado Classic. Through that meeting we ended up making some custom bags for the National Colligate Criterium Champion. She asked for “something purple” and this handle bar bag and large saddle bag is what we came up with.
